Below you will find a pictorial memory of police life at and after serving at the Palace of Westminster. The following pictures are presented by Ex PC 661 'A'/143870 Raymond Ware. Please remember that some very 'unusual' hours were performed by the officers employed at the Palace of Westminster when viewing these pictures. Very many long hours were encountered, officers could be on duty from 2pm until 6am the next morning and never knew when their tour of duty might end. These duties brought their own problems etc. and were naturally transported to the officers' families and home life.This can be confirmed by the many early deaths of officers who served at the Palace of Westminster. |
